How LVMH is helping stop the spread of COVID19
LVMH, the owners of luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton are taking matters into their own hands (and quite literally the people of France) to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus.
As reported on BBC.com, The Multi brand conglomerate released a statement saying "LVMH will use all the production lines of its perfume and cosmetic brands… to produce large quantities of hydroalcoholic gels from Monday.” The luxury brand giant also stated in their press release that “The gel will be delivered free of charge to the French health authorities and as a priority from this Monday to the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris.”
At a time where the world needs to come together to help others in our own countries and beyond, it is great to see an influential company such as LVMH setting a great example for the rest of the fashion industry.
Through this initiative they intend to help address the risk of a lack of product in France and enable a greater number of its citizens to continuously take the right actions to protect themselves and others from the spread of the virus.
LVMH closed their press release by saying they will “continue to honor this commitment for as long as necessary, in the connection with the French health authorities.”
We wish LVMH the best of luck with their production of hand sanitizer and thank them for setting a much needed example of putting the safety of people first during a global crisis. The full version of the company’s press release can be found HERE
