BY.D'BY SPING / SUMMER 2019

Label BY.D’BY brought back its ever so stylish swag to the runway of Seoul Fashion Week for spring/summer 2019. Having moved on from Seoul Fashion Week’s generation next  (GN) program (a program that gives the top emerging  designers a free runway show for three seasons)  the brand held it’s first major show in Hall A of the futuristic Dongdaemun design plaza and did not disappoint.

This season was BY.D’BY’s chance to prove itself as a strong commercial contender amongst senior designers. The front row of their first big show was full of International and domestic editors, buyers and K-pop stars including popular boyband Day6 who are huge supporters of the label.  BY.D’BY used this opportunity to present a collection that shows the world what the label is truly about and pushed its own boundaries.

Having toned down from last fall/winter season BY.D’BY has really found its voice and emerged from the GN cocoon as a strong brand who knows its target clients and market want. Menswear has always been BY.D’BY’s strong suit and this season showed no exceptions. Matching zip up jackets and shorts, sexy suites and a mix of crazy colors, powerful patterns and solid toned pieces with pops of pastel colors are all of what made this collection so powerful, on point and on trend. This collection is my favorite so far and it seems that just like wine BY.D’BY gets better and better with age and time to mature.
